Criminal Background Check (CPIC) – Same Day Service in North York
In Canada, individuals may be required to have a criminal record check (also known as Background Check, CPIC, Police Clearance, Criminal Background Check, Police Clearance Certificate, Police Check, and Police Records Check) for employment, volunteer work, a school program, real estate licence, warehouse, taxi licence, trucking licence and other civil screening purposes.
A Criminal Record Check is a search based on the individual’s name and date of birth, in the RCMP National Repository of Criminal Records to determine whether an individual has a criminal record. A Criminal Record Check may also include a search of a Canadian police service’s local records, which may reveal criminal record information that has not been reported to the RCMP.

We are a walk-in welcome office – No appointment necessary. Only location in North York to offer same day service.
When you visit our office, please make sure to bring two of the following pieces of IDs with you:
- Passport (Canadian or Foreign)
- Driver’s License (Canadian or Foreign)
- Birth Certificate
- Canadian Citizenship Card
- Permanent Resident (PR) Card
- Ontario Identification Card
- Certificate of Indian Status
- Firearm Acquisition Certificate
- Military ID Card
Health Cards (issued by a Canadian Province or Territory) is not acceptable as a primary piece of identification. It is acceptable as a secondary piece of identification.
